Some People Part II

YOu know, people are funny. They see this soft, push over on the outside, and never take the time to know the real me. People think they can rattle my cage by turning their head, or making a sudden move that would adversely affect my day to day operation; however, they fail to realize that I have been around the block a few times already.

Do people really expect to rock my boat? Do they expect me to curl up and throw in the towel? My God, do they not know how big My God is? Do they not know how long I have been doing this? Do they not know that they are not the first person to ever try what they're doing?

I get a big kick when they come back and say, Oh, I'm sorry, can I get my Job back, or I need money, or I didn't realize how much of a wonderful man you were. You try to help a friend out, and what do they do, they just wind up disappointing you with their decisions, throwing responsibility to the wind on what you've given them.

My brother and I were talking about the Lottery today. He said "Imagine if one of us won the lottery." Then he said "Imagine if YOU won the lottery!" And he continued, "Can you imagine how many people would start calling you? All kinds of people would come out of the woodwork!"

It was funny, this week, we ran an add in the paper, advertising a job opening that we had open. Some people sent us emails with their resumes as instructed, some people event sent emails saying "tell me about the job first." and I had this one guy that called and left a message on my voicmail in my office and in the typical 'movida' fashion, he said "Yo Chief, this is xxxx, I see you have a position open, call me and give me some details on it, lets talk." I deleted the voicemail and continuted about my business. If someone wants a job that badly, they can come down and talk to me face to face and fill out an application like the instructions in the add said, right? Well, that was my thinking any way.

I have some really great people around me to watch over me, and I thank them for that. These people have seen me in action; takeing the bullet for the greater good of the team; and have seen me at the high and low points. I have great friends who call me just to say "Hi" without a hidden adjenda of "I need to get something from him." And they know how to be a friend.

My suggestion folks, if you have someone like that, Call them, just to say "Hi." Ask how they're doing, and leave it at that. People who have as much on their plate as I do, really appreciate that.

You know my brother calls me at 5:30 in the morning on saturday, just to say hi. He know's its my one God Given Day to sleep in, and he knows it pisses me off, but he at least he does it out of love.! (By the way folks, if you ain't on the list to be able to call me at 5:30 in the morning on saturday, dont even bother, my phone wont ring. :o)

Anyway, thats it for now. I really appreciate my readers, apparently I do have some fans, because my blog count on my blog manager shows how many people read my stuff. I also have countless subscribers, interesting, for only hae a 100 or so friends.

Ya'll take care. Until next time!
